How to Curl Eyelashes

If you're like me - not lucky enough to have long or full lashes - then you've probably tried everything out there to enhance your eyelashes. In addition to using mascara and liner, you can have beautiful eyes by curling your lashes. Here's how you can curl your own eyelashes.

1. Make sure the area is clean. Before you curl them, your lashes need to be clean. Use make-up remover to remove any old mascara. Proper eye make-up remover is gentler than normal make-up remover, and it acts quicker than any other products. Use a cotton pad or ball to apply to lashes.

2. Heat up the curler before starting. It is much more efficient to use an eyelash curler to get those great lashes, but you don't have to use a heated lash curler. So start aiming your blow dryer on the curler for a couple of seconds. You do not want hot metal, so be sure to cool it down to warm before moving on to the next step. You could burn yourself if you don't.

3. Just in case you've never used them before, eyelash curlers move similar to scissors. Put a finger in each side, move your fingers in and out, to make the basic movement that you need. So, now you can begin to curl. Open your eye as you move the eyelash curler towards it. Move the curler so that the top and bottom of it crunch your lashes together, and then press down on the lashes as close to the base of the eyelashes as you can. Try to stay still for about 30 seconds.

Open the curler and take it away from your eyes. If you're not satisfied with the curl in your lash, just repeat. On both eyes, do this for just the top lashes. It is unnecessary to curl the bottom lashes because they usually are too short to see. Similar to hair, your eyelashes will gradually uncurl especially if you get water on them. Curl your eyelashes daily to maintain this appearance. Never curl eyelashes if there is mascara on them! It will act like a glue and also make your lashes brittle. Doing this is the best way to make your eyelashes fall out! If you curl your lashes before you apply mascara they will stay fuller.
